Esther Linda Melby

In loving memory of Esther Linda Melby 1956-2024.

Esther Melby, 67 years old, of Kelso, passed away July 14, 2024. She was born December 26, 1956 in Vancouver, Washington to Edward and Edna Schmidt. Esther married Darryn Melby in 1994 and shared nearly 30 wonderful years together. Esther was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. 

To know her was to love her. You couldn't find a more remarkable, passionate, selfless person than Esther. She had a heart of gold and went above and beyond to help anyone she could. Family meant the world to her and nothing put a bigger smile on her face then seeing and spending time with them. 

Esther is survived by and will be greatly miss by her husband, Darryn Melby. Her four children Kenneth Ruby of Kelso, Ronald (Marissa) Ruby of Kelso, Angela (John) Robertson of Winlock and Arryn Melby of Forrest Grove. Her beloved 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother. 

Proceeding her in death were her parents Edward Schmidt, Edna and Bud Fink. Grandson Seth Parvin and great grandchildren Bentley Ruby and Octavia Ruby. As well as seven brothers and sisters.
