Florence Risley

Florence Dorothy Risley, 91, of Kelso, WA, passed away peacefully April 12, 2025. Florence was born March 10, 1934 in Foley, Minnesota to Michael and Anna Belenski (Banks). 

After graduating from high school she moved to Washington State with the convincing of her brothers. She worked for an insurance company in Seattle and then later for a bank. 

She met her husband, Rodney Risley through friends, Gordon and Marie Holland. 

Florence had love for dogs and cats, especially cats which included her own cat, Tigger. She also enjoyed watching the birds, especially the humming birds, as well as flowers. 

Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney, along with her parents Michael and Anna Belenski, her brothers Clarence, Butch, Fred, Harvey, George, Pete, Wally, and sisters, Helen and Rose.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Routt and spouse Michael, grandson Keifer and spouse Charnaé, great granddaughter Sarita. She is also survived by her sister, Pearl, and her constant feline companion, Tigger. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday April 18th, at 1:00pm at Dahl McVicker Funeral Home, 301 Cowlitz Way, Kelso, Wa. 

All friends and family are welcome to attend to honor Florence's life. 

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Humane Society for Southwest Washington Longview Campus.
