Jacob Litton Cavender, a beloved son, devoted father, and cherished friend, embarked on his final journey on April 12, 2025, at the tender age of 26. Born on September 12, 1998, in the town of Longview, Washington, Jacob was a beacon of love and joy, lighting the lives of all who were fortunate to know him.
Throughout his life, Jacob exuded an infectious energy and vibrant spirit that painted every day with color. He thrived on positivity, radiating warmth through his laughter and friendly smile. A high school graduate, he was not just a hard worker; currently employed at Interfor, he also left a memorable mark during his time at Foster Farms. Jacob took immense pride in knowing he could make a difference in the lives of others around him.
Jacob’s children, Matelio Jacob Jr. and Calliope Gizel, were the crown jewels of his heart. To him, they represented the world—a world filled with potential, laughter, and boundless love. There was nothing he valued more than moments spent with family and friends, showcasing his unwavering commitment to those he cherished. Whether it was indulging in late-night video games, cheering for the Miami Heat, or enjoying the serenity of splitting firewood and fishing, Jacob found solace in life's simple pleasures.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his parents, Harold and Kim Cavender of Castle Rock, Washington; his supportive brother, Joshua Cavender, and fiancée Abi of Vancouver; his sister, Leihanna Carlson (Brad) of Cathlamet; step-siblings Bryan Powell of Stayton, Chelsea Comstock and fiancé Jayden Yates of Silverlake, and Amanda Comstock-Powell. He was also a doting uncle to his niece, Courtney, and nephews Beau, Brody, Cooper, and Zakk, all of whom reside in Cathlamet, continuing to carry on his legacy through love and laughter.
Jacob was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Meyer; grandmother, Jeanie Bowers; and grandfather, Fred Kelsey. Though they are no longer with us, their love and memories continue to envelop him.
A visitation to honor Jacob's remarkable life will be held on April 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 4:30 PM at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home in Kelso, Washington. His life will be celebrated with a funeral service on April 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Faith Family Christian Center in Longview, Washington.
In the hearts of many, Jacob Litton Cavender will forever be remembered as the quirky, fun-spirited individual who always found a moment to laugh, to share kindness, and to spread joy—an everlasting light that will shine brightly in the memories of his loved ones.
