Judith May Schneider, 78, passed away June 25, 2024 in Longview, Washington. Judy loved: Family, lobster rolls, kayaking, living on the lake, scrabble, necklaces and shoes. Judy was sometimes described as a "character."
Judy graduated from Brunswick High School in 1964, Clark University in 1968 and the University of Washington in the early 70's. For many years she was a school psychologist in Schools in Kitsap and Mason Counties. In 2009, she and her husband Jerry Schneider retired to Fayette, Maine. In Maine she continued her dedication to children-in-need by becoming a CASA volunteer with the court system. She also picked a lot of blueberries and baked an endless number of pies and cookies.
After returning to Washington, Judy's husband Jerry Schneider passed away in 2018. Her parents Kathleen and Edward Palmer predeceased her. She is survived by two sons. Andrew Schneider, his wife Sarah and children Jacob and Olivia who took excellent care of her in the last years of her life. Oldest son, Fred Schneider and grandchildren Lucy and Tyler live in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. She is survived by one sibling, Margaret Palmer Chadwick and her husband Robert Weimont of Fayette. In addition, she is survived by one aunt, Ada Hatch of Salisbury Cove, many cousins, one niece, Kathleen Chadwick and one nephew Charles Smith II.
She is sadly missed.
